Virginia Hyam is currently working in the position of Head of Contemporary Culture at Sydney Opera House following her role their as Executive Producer of the Studio Space. She has created a vibrant program of new contemporary arts, opening the Opera House up to new audiences and performance options.
Virginia came to this position from Director of the Melbourne Fringe Festival and has also worked in the youth arts sector in program development and Festival project management She sets out to profile innovative and accessible contemporary arts practices from across the world to Australian audiences.
